Regatta
1. RULES: The races will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (2009-2012); the prescriptions of US Sailing; the prescriptions of HYRA; the Notice of Race; (except as any of these may be altered by the Sailing Instructions); and by the Sailing Instructions.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 The regatta will be open to monohull yachts, multihull yachts and sailing canoes of all classes.
Classes will be determined at the Skippers’ Meeting.
2.2 Eligible yachts may be entered by completing an entry form and submitting it before or at Registration with an entry fee of $10.00.
3. HANDICAPS: Monohull handicaps shall be in accordance with HPHRF BASE ratings or with US Sailing-PHRF as modified by the LYC-MBYC and/or HYC. Multihull yachts will be handicapped at the Skippers’ Meeting
4 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: October 15, 2011
4.1 Registration – 1000 hours at the Cannons in front of the old Lahaina Courthouse..
4.2 Skipper’s meeting – 1030 hours at the Cannons in front of the old Lahaina Courthouse.
4.3 Race #1 - 1225 Warning Signal 1230 Start.
4.4 Race #2 - Warning Signal will be given approximately 5 minutes after the last boat finishes Race #1, postponement flag will be flown until one minute before five minute warning.
4.5 Race #3 - Warning Signal will be given approximately 5 minutes after the last boat finishes Race #2, postponement flag will be flown until one minute before five minute warning.
